In fiscal year 2023, 93% of Carter Center expenses supported the Center's Health and Peace programs, 3% supported fundraising activities, and 4% supported the Center's administration.
An outside accounting firm conducts an annual audit of The Carter Center, which is published in our annual report. In addition, an all-volunteer board of trustees oversees the work of the Center, sets policies and procedures, and monitors the budget and expenditures.
